duty. This unit features a heavy housing structure and substantial arbor bearing construction. As a result, the Model
177 is capable of producing slit width tolerances much closer than other machines of similar size.
The substantial inboard housing is permanently attached and dowelled to the sub-base. The swing-away outboard
housing rides on an air cushion for changing the cutter set up. When loading and unloading cutters and spacers the
operator simply removes the arbor nuts, loosens the two housing bolts and pulls the outboard housing away from the
